I now had no choice but to either get a new set or have the “dog’s breakfast” reupholstered. After shopping around for a new set, I found nothing that caught my eye and settled on the reupholstering option. I got a couple of quotes around JHB, and landed up at Dhasi’s upholstery. The quote I got was the first thing that attracted me to them, prompting me to make further enquires.

How We Fixed The Problem
I got hold of Dhasi to discuss and get further advice from him. I got the most professional advice from him regarding my options. From initially wanting to cover only the damaged portions of the couch, I ended up having the entire thing redone, thanks to his advice regarding shading issues, etc. I was so comfortable with his advice, that I left the shade choice to him, trusting that he will make the best decision regarding this, once he had the couch in his possession. My couch was picked up on the agreed date and returned on the date promised. In between this they stayed professional, giving me constant progress updates to keep me at ease.

Charmaine’s couch set had holes, and the leather was torn off. The couch had damaged edges and was in need of reupholstering.

To say that I was thrilled with the end result, is an understatement…I was totally over the moon. It was just a miracle. Looking at the before pictures and the end product, I just couldn’t believe the transformation….a real rags to riches scenario.
